About Awards: The Fisheries and Life Science Awards are established by Society of Fisheries and Life Sciences, College of Fisheries, Mangaluru, Karnataka, India. The objectives of the Society of Fisheries and Life Sciences (SFLS) are to promote scientific awareness, stimulate education and research activities in the field of Fisheries, Aquaculture, Biological Science, Environmental Science, Nature Sciences and Life Sciences at the regional & international level. This also promotes effective interaction and cooperation among the scientists and technicians involved in Fisheries & Life Science research and development with a view to encourage and facilitate research activities, complementation, sharing of information and publication of research results. The main objective of awarding is to identify the candidate for their outstanding contributions in the field of Fisheries, Aquaculture, Life Science, Nature Science, Agriculture Science and Applied Biological Sciences.

1. Lifetime Achievement Awards
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes the candidates who are actively engaged in R&D, and who have shown great potential to be a world-class scientist in the fields of Fisheries, Aquaculture, Life Science, Nature Science, Agriculture Science and Applied Biological Sciences. The applicants must send a detailed report of the complete features of the discoveries or research papers along with the application form.

2. Best Scientist Awards
The Best Scientist Award recognizes the candidates who are actively engaged in R&D, and who have shown great potential to be a world-class scientist in the fields of Fisheries, Aquaculture, Life Science, Nature Science, Agriculture Science and Applied Biological Sciences. The applicants must send a detailed report of the complete features of the discoveries or research papers along with the application form. Age limit more than 40 Years. 3. Best Teacher Awards
The Best Teacher Award recognizes the candidates who are actively engaged in R&D, and who have shown great potential to be a world-class scientist in the fields of Fisheries, Aquaculture, Life Science, Nature Science, Agriculture Science and Applied Biological Sciences. The applicants must send a detailed report of the complete features of the discoveries or research papers along with the application form.

The Best Extension Scientist Award recognizes the candidates who are actively engaged in developing, or implementing extension-related programs in the fields of Fisheries, Aquaculture, Life Science, Nature Science and Applied Biological. The applicants must justify that how his/her novel work is useful to the public society in 200 words in the prescribed application.

7.Young Extension Scientist Awards
The Young Extension Scientist Award recognizes the candidates who are actively engaged in developing, or implementing extension-related programs in the fields of Fisheries, Aquaculture, Life Science, Nature Science and Applied Biological Sciences. The applicants must write about their innovations in 100 words.

Rs.1000 for Young Scientist, Junior Young Scientist and Young Extension Scientist Awards.
Rs.2000 for Best Scientist, Best Teacher Award and Best Extension Scientist Awards
Rs.6000 for Lifetime Achievement Award

Applicant must be the life member of Journal of Fisheries and Life Sciences (Become Life Member). The application will be screened or scrutinized by Expert Committee and the Committee decision will be final. The Committee will select the candidate based on total points obtained in Score Card.
The applicants will be invited to present their work (Teaching/Research/Extension) through online. The dates and time will be communicated through contact details provided by you.
Last Date
Completed application [only soft copy in PDF (merge all documents into one pdf), no hard copy] should send to the Secretary/Treasurer, Society of Fisheries and Life Sciences, Department of Fisheries Resource Management, College of Fisheries Campus, Mangaluru-575 002, Karnataka, India on or before 15 Oct. 2024. Late and incomplete applications are liable to be rejected and the Society will not be responsible for any type of delay. A receipt of application ID and acknowledgement will be provided. The announcement of the Awards
The Awards shall be honoured with award of e-certificate & trophies by speed post. The names of the awardees selected by the Expert Committee will be intimated to all the applicants through the mail and the same will be present during online webinar in India or abroad. The President/General secretory reserves the rights to disqualify any entry on certain grounds and increase or decrease the number of awards based on a number of applicants in each category.
Call for Sponsors
We are inviting sponsorship from industries, businesses, and government agencies. Various levels of sponsorship are possible. Based on the sponsorship level, the sponsor will have access to opportunities for advertising their produces/brand. The sponsor would be recognized as a sponsor on the website and get separate space to display promotional material on the website (Intended level Rs. 10,000 or more).
